We hope everyone is staying cool these first few weeks of summer. Just want to make you aware of a couple of things:
NPNA is once again going to participate in the community wide Great Flag Caper – when we canvas the area with the stars and stripes in honor of Independence Day. I’m sure you have seen that some neighborhoods are already decked out. NPNA has planned to “plant” our flags on Sunday evening July 1st, and we will “harvest” on July 5th, as normal. On both nights we will meet at the Nichols Park pavilion at 7:30. Since the ground is pretty dry right now, planting is an easier task if a cordless drill is used. If you don’t have access to a drill, don’t worry, there will be others there. This can be great fun for families – kids really enjoy being a part of this festive and patriotic activity. We hope you are able to help out.
Also, big news on the Nichols Park NA web site. We have a very capable neighbor, Jim Nelson, who has been very generous with his time in designing a new site. Please check it out – the address is below. We think it will be a much better portal for even better communication with neighbors. Any input, information, etc., that you wish to contribute, is always welcome.
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
